インドネシアの図書館の気持ち (How do I feel about Indonesia library)

In my life, I have been to my campus' library, my school's library, public library at my hometown (Makassar), and SMPK 11's library (when I did library hunting with my friends). And Petra Library is my favorite because it's the best library and hangout place I've ever been :) I think it's the most perfect library, and it became my standard library. So, when I saw SMPK 11's library when we went hunting, my thought is I want to make this library like Petra Library where users (SMPK 11's students) can hangout and feel comfortable and even like being at library. And, Indonesia already have online library, I found 1 when I'm googling (http://www.perpusonline.com/).

At first, I thought about what I can do to SMPK 11's library after I saw their library (documentation at our group's blog), and I really like to make their library like Petra Library, at least give a classification plate at the bookshelves. But then when Ms. Ani tell us about their library software that hasn't been used for 6 months, and as an informatics student, I really want to learn that program and teach Ms. Ani how to use it, because it's such a waste if that program can support and make their library system better. And if I can, I want to teach Ms. Ani and their studenets how to use their computer to do research (they have computers but didn't use it, don't know why...)

That's my thought for today ^__^

Library Information System Class 2011/2012 Odd Semester With Mrs. Arlinah :D

In my first week at this semester, I really wasn't interested in this class, I have set mine at other subject, but, when I attended the first meeting, I'm really looking forward to this service learning method that Mrs. Arlinah gave us for our assignment this semester. And when I thought about that assignment again, I think, I already have some skill and experience about modern library system, because I am a part-time worker at our campus library. Especially at library's procurement progress, that's where I work.
So, I enrolled for this class when the second PRS began :D

I have my other reason, and this happen after my second PRS, I already enrolled at this class. When I and my friends went hunting library for our assignment, Service Learning, I saw how their library different from our library. I think, if we can give this school library our knowledge about modern library system, we can make their library more comfortable for its users. Users can feel how interesting library can be... Like what I felt when I use our campus library :P

What I expect to learn from this class? Hmmm...this one is kinda difficult... Actually, I don't have any dream about library information system, it's just because I have some experience already at library... I want to be a web developer, but not interesting at library that much, but...we'll see. Maybe I can use what I'll get to work someday :D
